Dr. Nur Cayirdag received her M.A. and Ph.D degrees in Counseling Psychology. She also earned her second MA degree in Gifted and Creative Education from the University of Georgia. She came to the US as Fulbright Scholar and continued her studies at the Torrance Center for Creativity and Talent Development as an Educational Program Specialist. She also worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Empowered Youth Program (EYP) at UGA to support the education of the underrepresented youth. She has taught courses and facilitated trainings on creativity and gifted education. She also delivered keynote speeches and trainings on creativity assessment and Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT). She has more than 20 publications, presentations, and book chapters. Her most recent works appeared in the Gifted Child Quarterly, Thinking Skills & Creativity, Journal of Adolescence, Encyclopedia of Creativity, Handbook of Research on the Education of Young Children, and Researching Creative Learning: Methods and Approaches. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, American Psychological Association, and National Association for Gifted Children.
