‘When Alex met Sid….’ , this could have been the title of one of the videos about the International Center for Studies in Creativity. The foundation of the center dates back to Alex Osborn, developer of brainstorming and the originator of the Creative Problem Solving process.
Osborn thought “If ideas are that valuable, why don’t I try to turn out more of them?” It was his vision and dream that eventually led to the establishment of the Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State in 1967.
Osborn’s dream was fully realized when Dr. Sidney Parnes and Dr. Ruth Noler established a permanent academic home for the Creative Studies program at Buffalo State. ICSC is the home of the world’s first Master of Science degree in Creativity.
